Dolores' Cottage

I have enjoyed collecting all kinds of things from all over the world. Shabby Chic, French style are my favorites, but I love pretty much anything with a little history and beauty to it. And I am always drawn to pink roses in all forms and styles. I truly believe everyday things we use should always be things of beauty. I like to eat with my 100 year old sterling forks, and my Limoge plates, and yes I do put them into the dishwasher. I don't think that a thing of beauty and history should be stored behind glass and never touched or enjoyed. I do love to have little venues of items that tell a story or catch my interest. But alas my shelves are all overflowing so have started a small business sharing some of my many treasures. I have Ebay and Etsy shops and now have opened a booth at Junebugg's Flea and Antique Mall in Selma, Alabama. What fun they all have been, but my favorite has been the booth (or as I call it my little "shop") at Junebugg's. I never knew it could be as much fun selling lovely and needed things as buying! And surprise my dear husband (I like to call him MM for my music man) has enjoyed helping me with it. I like to have for sale a little bit of everything from old to new, practical to whimsical. Things to help you in the house and things to just bring a smile to your face. And lots of yarn! I have had to admit that I will never be able to knit all the yarn I have bought, so off it goes to live with other knitters and crocheters! So please come by and enjoy! And I hope to share what not only will be going into the "shop" but life at the Cottage and the things that help fill my life with beauty and grace.
