New York

I help companies and business people understand how to use social tools to delight their customers, engage with their prospects, and enable their employees to become more productive and innovative. I am the proud father of two amazing girls (age 9 and 11). I live in New York City and love living there. I started out as a lawyer practicing customs and international trade law at a boutique firm in Wall Street. While at the firm, I learned how to use the Internet to attract new clients. It was then that I realized the power of the Internet as a marketing tool In an effort to leverage what I had learned, I left the practice of law and focused on helping lawyers harness the power of the Internet to market their services. I went to work for ALM and helped ALM build its web marketing services for lawyers. KPMG hired me to run their digital marketing team. While at KPMG, I was exposed to the power of Knowledge Management and helped KPMG build a new employee portal called K-World. The eternal entrepreneur in me decided to once again start a new business and with some partners we launched BDI. At BDI we organized the very first conference on the topic of Social Media. We had the founders of several social media companies (including Reid Hoffman of LinkedIn) present on this new technology. I quickly realized the power of social media and decide to go back to my legal roots and help Practising Law Institute with their social media strategy. While at PLI, I helped build a social networking platform called PLI Xchange and implemented a social media marketing strategy that resulted in a new sales channel and significant new revenues. For the past year, I have been working at Pernod Ricard as the project lead for PR Chatter, an Enterprise Social Network. My responsibilities include recommending and implementing the business strategy, training, communication and deployment of PR Chatter. Specialties: social business, digital marketing, digital communications, collaboration, Intranet strategy, social CRM, online community management, intranet governance, social media marketing, social media strategy, web 2.0 technologies, interactive marketing, strategic business development, SEO, blogging
