Melissa Mabe is an accomplished architect with a robust career marked by leadership at a prominent Colorado architectural firm and notable industry recognition. Her technical prowess and strategic leadership advanced her career and inspired many women. She established a distinguished reputation among her professional peers by combining exceptional skill with innovation and a forward-thinking approach. After many successful years in architecture, Melissa decided to pivot and embrace a new challenge: lavender farming. She approached this venture with the same focus and determination that characterized her architectural endeavors. Melissa's educational journey began at the University of Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and later a Master’s degree in Architecture. Her studies equipped her with critical skills in analytical thinking, leadership, and financial management, which she seamlessly integrated into her architectural career. During her Master's program, she excelled in applying creativity, technical proficiency, and a keen understanding of structural engineering principles, enhancing her ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively. Quickly making her mark in the architectural world, Melissa's skills and determination led her to become the President of Ruggles Mabe Studio, later known as Ruggles Lindeman Bell. Under her leadership, the firm experienced significant growth and success thanks to her exemplary management, strategic planning, and industry expertise. Melissa's career has been distinguished with various accolades, including being named one of the "Top 20 under 40" by the ENR Mountain States and recognized as a "Top Newsmaker among Architects" by the Denver Business Journal. Her professional contributions have earned her the respect of colleagues and prominent industry groups. Today, Melissa fully manages Tres Lavender, a lavender farm and product company she runs with a close friend. In this new role, she applies her architectural skills to agriculture, focusing on sustainable farming practices and producing high-quality lavender products. Beyond her professional life, Melissa is actively involved in community service. She supports Rise Against Suicide, an organization addressing community suicide rates, showcasing her compassionate spirit and commitment to societal well-being. Additionally, she contributes to the University of Colorado's lacrosse team and supports Young Life, a Christian ministry to nurture young people's spiritual growth. Through these efforts, Melissa Mabe continues to impact her community positively, reflecting her ongoing commitment to service and leadership.
