Hospitality legend Steve Gallanter has worked at more Boston venues than you have been to; Fenway Park and The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common among them. From expertly shucking shellfish, uncorking and pouring champagne with finesse, Steve Gallanter has demonstrated a wide range of beverage and food service skills. With a focus on positive customer relations, Mr. Gallanter possesses marketing and promotions acumen and familiarity with hospitality/restaurant industry software, such as Excel, MICROS Systems, Inc., POSitouch, RPOWER Restaurant POS Software, and Execu/Tech Hotel Property Management. Steve Gallanter has received certifications through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Bar Code training program, the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR Training Course, and the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Crowd Manager training program. He is also adept at troubleshooting soda, water filtration, fire and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) issues and organizing bar storage areas for maximum efficiency. Steve Gallanter has demonstrated his ambidextrous pouring expertise at Boston watering holes such as Europa, The Red Fez, and News Boston. He has also worked in nightclubs featuring world, country western, disco, house, hip-hop, Latin, reggae, rhythm and blues, and rock music. Mr. Gallanter also has experience decorating venues for themed events, coordinating and distributing promotional materials, and acting as a beverage purchasing agent. For the Boston Board of Elections, Steve Gallanter has performed as a Clerk and Warden since 2002, and he has served as a member of the Fenway Community Development Corporation since 1989.
