Caitlyn

Caitlyn deAmbra began dancing at the age of 4, and continued learning new forms of dance through adulthood. Tap, Jazz, ballet, Irish Step Dancing... whatever was going on in her life, dancing, music and acting were the glue that helped to hold her together. Since 2005 Caitlyn has been battling chronic pain, muscle weakness, fatigue and other symptoms that baffled doctors. In 2011, Caitlyn's muscles began to get severely weak, and in July of that year she found herself in a wheelchair to get around, though 99% of the time she is in bed, either sleeping or resting, as activity makes her pain levels go up. A lot. Then on August 12, 2013, Caitlyn met Dr. Enrique Aradillas at Drexel University's Neurology Department in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For the first time since 2005 Caitlyn was given hope. This is the story of her journey to dance once again.
